Engagement Session

Juan + Cecilya

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Cecilya and Juan’s engagement session at the Boise State Capitol, and let me tell you, their love is contagious! From the moment we started, you could feel the connection they share. The couple met at work, and their relationship blossomed from there. They even moved to Idaho for work, but they’re planning to get married in California soon. Their chemistry was undeniable, and throughout the session, I couldn’t help but smile seeing how easily they made each other laugh and feel comfortable.

The Boise Capitol was busy with prom season in full swing, but Cecilya and Juan’s laid-back attitude made the day feel so relaxed and fun. Despite the crowds and limited space, we were able to make the most of the setting, capturing some truly beautiful moments. It was amazing to see how a couple’s genuine connection could shine through even in the midst of a bustling public space.

Discovering New Connections at 10 Barrel Brewing Co.

After the engagement session, Cecilya and Juan invited my fiancé and me to join them for dinner at 10 Barrel Brewing Co., a spot my fiancé and I had never been to before. And let me just say—the food was amazing! We stayed for hours chatting away about everything from our personal lives to our love for our spoiled dogs. But what really made the night memorable was discovering that our fiancés share a fun connection! Both Juan’s and my fiancé’s families are from Nayarit, Mexico, and even though they don’t think they’re actually related, they now lovingly call each other cousins! We spent the evening laughing and trying to piece together the connection. It felt like the universe was bringing us closer together in more ways than one.

A Perfect End to a Perfect Day

As we wrapped up our time together, I realized how special this day was—not just because of the beautiful photos we captured, but because of the connections we made. What started as a photo session with a couple I’d never met turned into an unforgettable evening with new friends. I truly couldn’t be more grateful for this job and the amazing people I get to meet along the way.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Cecilya and Juan as they continue their journey together. I know they’ll look back on these photos and cherish the memories forever—and I’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.
